Terms Of Service

Welcome to Merrken Maintenance. By accessing and using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

  1. Service Agreement:

    Merrken Maintenance provides cleaning and maintenance services for residential and commercial spaces, subject to the condition that the place is in a reasonable state for cleaning.

    Clients agree to provide accurate information regarding their service requirements.

  2. Cleaning Day Preparation:

    Clients are responsible for preparing their space for cleaning. This includes decluttering, securing pets, and making sure our team can access the areas to be cleaned.

  3. Booking and Payments:

    Clients can book services through our website, phone, or in-person consultation.

    Payment for services is due upon completion unless otherwise agreed upon.

    We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, cash, and electronic transfers.

  4. Use of Homeowner’s Cleaning Supplies and Vacuum:

    Clients may request that our team use their cleaning supplies and vacuum. In such cases, the client is responsible for ensuring the provided supplies are in working order and meet our cleaning requirements.

    Merrken Maintenance will not be liable for any damage to the client’s vacuum or for any repairs needed, as we are not responsible for the maintenance of the client’s vacuum equipment.

  5. Breakage/Damage and Loss Policy:

    Merrken Maintenance takes every precaution to avoid breakage or damage. In the event of any breakage, damage, or loss during our service, we will make every effort to promptly address the issue professionally and responsibly. We are fully insured to cover such occurrences.

  6. Artwork, Collectibles, and Family Heirlooms:

    Clients with valuable or fragile items, such as artwork, collectibles, or family heirlooms, must inform us before our service commences to ensure proper care is taken during cleaning.

  7. Items We Cannot Clean:
    • There are items we may not be able to clean, such as antique furniture with unique cleaning requirements. Clients must inform us of such items to assess their cleaning needs.
    • Mold removal is a specialized service, and we cannot be held responsible for any mold-related risks in clients’ homes.
    • Additionally, please note that we cannot provide cleaning services for hoarding homes or areas containing materials like animal and human body fluids, blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages, urine, or excretions.

  8. Keys and Security:

    Clients providing keys to our team for access to their properties must ensure the security of their keys. Merrken Maintenance will take reasonable precautions, but clients are responsible for the safety and control of access.

  9. Recurring Cleaning Services:

    Merrken Maintenance offers recurring cleaning services for your convenience. To qualify for the Exclusive Recurring Cleaning Special, a minimum commitment of three months is required. After the initial three months, you can continue to receive the discount as long as you maintain a recurring cleaning schedule. Cancellation requests for recurring cleaning services must be made within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment.

  10. Arrival Window for Cleaners:
    • Merrken Maintenance strives to provide clients with a specific 40-minute arrival window for our cleaning teams. We understand the importance of punctuality and will make every effort to meet our scheduled appointment times.
    • To maintain transparency, we will notify you via text or call if our cleaners anticipate being late by more than 40 minutes. We value your time and strive to minimize any inconvenience.
    • Our cleaners will not arrive more than 30 minutes earlier than the scheduled appointment time, respecting your convenience and ensuring you’re prepared for our service.

  11. Refund Policy:

    Merrken Maintenance is committed to your satisfaction. If you’re not completely satisfied with our service, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will address your concerns promptly. Refunds may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  12. Non-Solicitation of Our Employees:

    We kindly request that clients refrain from soliciting our employees for any service or employment outside of Merrken Maintenance. Our team has invested time and resources in training and background checks to ensure they meet our high standards of service. Your support in this matter is greatly appreciated and contributes to the stability of our team.

  13. Service Fee:

    Merrken Maintenance reserves the right to adjust the price based on the actual condition of the house. If, upon arrival, we find that the job will require extra time, we will call you to let you know. If we are unable to reach you, the crew will leave, and a cancellation fee will be charged.

    Merrken Maintenance reserves the right to reevaluate rates at any time based on the time it takes to perform the job to meet the client’s standards.

  14. Online Booking:

    Online booking does not guarantee a spot for the selected date and time. Our team will call or email to confirm the booking. To secure your booking, a $70 non-refundable charge will be applied, deductible from the total cleaning price.

  15. Rebooking and Cancellation:

    Rebooking and cancellation requests must be made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $70 charge applied.

  16. Add-On Services:
    Merrken Maintenance offers additional services for your convenience, including:
    • Carpet washing
    • Cleaning inside the fridge
    • Cleaning inside the oven
    • Cleaning interior windows
    • Cleaning inside the microwave
    • Cleaning mattresses
    • Addressing pet hair
    • Patio furniture cleaning
    • Detailing blinds
    • Detailing baseboards
    • Using eco-friendly products
    • Additional fees may apply based on your specific requirements.

  17. Changes to Terms:

    Merrken Maintenance reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. We encourage clients to review this section periodically.

  18. Termination of Service:

    Merrken Maintenance reserves the right to terminate service if clients are in breach of these terms or pose a risk to our team’s safety.
